Janet Kerr is Professor Emeritus of Law at Pepperdine University School of Law. Having developed several successful technology companies including X-Labs, co-founded with HRL Laboratories. Janet was Chief Strategy Officer of Exemplify, Inc., a data analytics company, and was Strategic Advisor to Bloomberg BNA after it acquired Exemplify in October 2014.

 

Janet serves on the board of directors of three public companies.  La-Z-Boy, Inc. (NYSE: LZB); Tilly's, Inc (NYSE: TLYS) and AppFolio (NASDAQ: APPF). From 2004 to 2010, she served as a member of the Board for CKE Restaurants, Inc. 

  

Janet has also been an advisor on corporate issues and entrepreneurial strategies to France, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. She has also represented the U.S. Department of Commerce at several international events.
